The Trophy was awarded during the 2nd National Regatta and Offshore Racing Days organised by the Yacht Club de France and the National Maritime Museum.
In the presence of H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Hanne Fugl Eskjær, the Danish crew of VIM was represented by Fredrick Malmberg. He received a watercolour immortalising this victory, from the hands of his painter, Marc PJ Berthier (Official Painter of the Navy, Official Painter of the Yacht Club de France).
The Trophy was presented by Philippe Héral, President of the Yacht Club de France and Bernard Minvielle, Vice-President of the ITMA (International Twelve Meter Association).
